CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Joliet police said a man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a couple of underaged people more than 10 years ago.

Thirty-six-year-old Demetrius Beal has been arrested this week for sexual assaults that happened in 2011 and 2012, according to Joliet police.

The Joliet Herald-News reported the police first opened their investigation in October, resulting in charges against Beal. He’s being held on a $2 million bond.

In 2012, Beal was charged with sexually assaulting a child in 2006. He’s to go on trial for that charge later this month.
