CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A federal judge has rejected a request from the owner of one of the rooftops outside Wrigley Field in a legal dispute with the Chicago Cubs.
The Cubs filed a federal lawsuit against Wrigley View Rooftop.
The Cubs argue Wrigley View needs the team's permission to sell tickets to watch events at Wrigley Field from its rooftop.
The two sides had an agreement, but Crain's Chicago Business reported the Cubs wanted Wrigley View to pay more to renew the deal.
Law 360 reported Wrigley View asked a judge to move the case to arbitration, but the judge said Wrigley View filed the wrong motion.
In a statement to WBBM, a lawyer for Wrigley View said the rooftop owner is weighing his legal options.
