(WBBM NEWSROOM) — A North Lawndale brewery and taproom has closed.

Lagunitas TapRoom at 2607 W 17th St has permanently closed its doors after 10 years.

The California based brewing company announced on the Chicago TapRoom social media pages about the closing.

Saying, “We’ve loved every moment hosting you. Cheers to the nights spent pouring beers, dancing to killer live music, and sharing countless unforgettable memories— all in a world of pure imagination. Thank you, for everything.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the tap room closed and then reopened last year without some of its popular food offerings.

Lagunitas is moving the brewing operations to its flagship facility in California, according to a statement released by the company. The company was purchased by Heineken in 2017.
