(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A court hearing on Thursday in the Delphi murders case could spell trouble for the trial that’s slated to begin in January.

It’s been almost a year since Richard Allen was charged with the 2017 murders of Libby German and Abby Williams. Judge Fran Gull has called a hearing to discuss matters that have recently arisen.

She imposed a gag order months ago and allowed the defense team to continue after it inadvertently leaked evidence last spring. Now, members of the “Murder Sheet” podcast say a former employee of defense attorney Andrew Baldwin leaked graphic crime-scene photos earlier this month.

Podcasters Anye Cane and Kevin Greenlee say they took the photos to state police and were interviewed; they say the source who shared them died by suicide.
