(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Plainfield Area Public Library will close for a couple of weeks to prepare for a multi-million-dollar renovation and addition project.
The library will be closed from April 29 to May 12 as it prepares for construction crews.
The $10.5 million project will enhance facilities and services. Highlights include a drive-through pickup window, study rooms, a dedicated teen space and an outdoor area.
While the library is closed, patrons can still return items to outside book drops and place items on hold to pick up at “Grab and Go” locations.
Construction is expected to be completed in May 2025.
