(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A 39-year-old Chicago man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly pushing a woman onto subway tracks earlier this week.

Ashley Goss was expected to appear in bond court Wednesday.
Prosecutors say he pushed the 23-year-old victim off the Chicago Avenue Red Line station platform on Tuesday.

The woman had a cut to the forehead but was in good condition, authorities said.

Goss was taken into custody shortly after the incident, police said.
