
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Arlington Heights police caught one member of a crew stealing catalytic converters Saturday.
Terrell Davidson, 29 is charged with theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and obstructing a police officer. Arlington Heights police said they caught Davidson from Austin after responding to a call in a condo complex near Central Road and Horner Lane at around 4:30 a.m.
Davidson and several others tried to drive away, but hit a large landscaping boulder, according to Police. A drone with thermal imaging was not able to find the others, but police said Davidson was in a Jaguar recently stolen from downtown Chicago with a stolen Florida license plate.
Police say there were nine stolen catalytic converters, three loaded Glock handguns, plus a lift and power tools.
