Man charged with bludgeoning, robbing victim on South Side

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Far South Side man was arrested and charged for attacking a man in the Brainerd neighborhood last month.

Stephan Sander, 31,  is charged with attempted murder in connection to an attack on Nov. 9 at 116th and Wallace.

Chicago Police said Sander hit a 61-year-old man in the head several times with an object before robbing him.

He was arrested Wednesday at his West Pullman home. Two firearms were recovered from his home, police said.

Armed robbery and armed habitual criminal are among other felony charges he faces.
