GARY, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Multiple felony charges have been filed against a 30-year-old Olympia Fields man following crashes and a police pursuit in Gary.

State police said Endris Thomas was involved in a hit-and-run crash on 80-94 at about 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Thomas' SUV, with front-end damage, sped past a trooper at 115 miles per hour.

There was a pursuit that ended after the SUV exited the expressway and crashed into three parked vehicles. Then there was a foot pursuit.

Police said Thomas threw two handguns while running. He was tasered and was injured when he fell face-first into pavement. Back at the SUV, police found a woman and an 8-year-old were passengers.

They were not hurt. Thomas is facing weapon and drug charges as well as operating while intoxicated, a total of nine felonies. He was wanted in Cook County for failure to comply with electronic monitoring.
