Man killed, another critically wounded in Lawndale shooting

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man was killed and another critically wounded in a shooting last night in the Lawndale neighborhood.

Police responded to the 3600 block of West Flournoy Avenue at about 8 p.m. for a call of shots fired.

They found a 20-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head. He died at Mount Sinai. An 18-year-old was shot in the abdomen and was in critical condition.

A third person was arrested on charges of unlawful use of a weapon. The circumstances remain under investigation. Three handguns were recovered, according to police.
