(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An investigation is underway after a man was killed when his speedboat crashed and erupted in flames off the Fox River.
Police were called to the 2400 block of South Riverview Drive in Holiday Hills around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday and found the speedboat in flames in the back yard of a home.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Raymond Jezierski, 58, of Fox River Grove.
An autopsy showed he died of blunt trauma of the chest.
Police say the boat left the Fox River and crashed into a tree before it caught on fire.
Other circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
