LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Lake County Sheriff’s Police are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist dead last night in the Libertyville area.
Lake County Sheriff’s Police said the crash happened on Route 21 south of Casey Road. A 49-year old motorcyclist from Lake Villa was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic when he collided with an SUV that was making a left turn out of a dog park, according to police.
The collision caused the BMW motorcycle to hit a curb and the motorcyclist slammed into a guardrail. He was taken to a hospital and died later. The 68-year old woman in the Hyundai SUV was not injured.
