(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police in west suburban Elburn are trying to figure out if an incident from Monday night was a prank or something more sinister.

A car was reported to be playing ice cream truck music, and two men inside the vehicle were asking kids if they wanted ice cream.

Police say the car was seen around 6 p.m. near Anderson and Freedom Roads and left northbound towards Keslinger Road.

While no one was harmed, police tell WBBM Newsradio the pair could face disorderly conduct charges.

The vehicle is described as gray, with a blue rocker panel, possibly an older Ford Focus, with a bicycle in the backseat.

The two men are believed to be in their late teens or early twenties. One has shoulder length auburn hair, the other has short dark brown hair.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or has information is asked to call 9-1-1.
