
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Eight restaurants have been added to the Michelin Guide Chicago and could one day be designated with a star or a “Bib Gourmand” designation.
“From a food stall turned Filipino restaurant staple to no nonsense Mediterranean cuisine, these 8 new additions to Chicago's dining scene are keeping our Inspectors well-fed with a myriad of menus,” Michelin said in a news release dated Wednesday.
The Chicago dining establishments getting a nod are:
--Atelier, 4835 N. Western Ave. in Lincoln Square, which blends New American cuisine with global flavors.
--Boonies Filipino Restaurant, 4337 N. Western Ave. in North Center.
--Cellar Door Provisions, 3025 W. Diversey Ave. in Logan Square, which specializes in Mediterranean fare.
--GG’s Chicken Shop, 3325 N. Southport Ave. in Lake View, which offers a variety of chicken sandwiches, rotisserie chicken and salads.
--GG’s Japanese restaurant neighbor, Itoko, also at 3325 N. Southport Ave.
--Kyoten Next Door, an intimate sushi restaurant at 2513 W. Armitage Ave. in Bucktown.
--Yao Yao, 230 W. Cermak Road in Chinatown, which is noted for its fish.
-- French bistro Obélix, 700 N. Sedgwick St., in River North.
