
MICHIGAN CITY, IND. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Michigan City Police are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy, and they're asking for assistance from the public.
Police and EMS responded to a residence on Normandy Drive at about 7 a.m. Sunday.
It was reported that the child was unresponsive.
He was taken to Franciscan Hospital and was then flown by helicopter to Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago for advanced treatment. He died at about 7 p.m.
His name was Augustus Williams. The cause of death has not been released.
Police said a search warrant was executed at the residence and evidence was collected.
