CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Some migrants living at a Chicago Police district station on the Far south side were taken to a hospital last night with flu-like symptoms.

Ambulances showed up at the 4th District station, the South Chicago District, on the 2200 block of East 103rd Street.

Activist Andrew Holmes is raising a number of concerns. Holmes said at least nine migrants reported having flu-like symptoms. At least three were hospitalized.

"If they're that sick, they're spreading whatever they have throughout this city and my concern is how many of these children have been vaccinated before being placed in the public schools," he questioned.

This is a concern raised by the Fraternal Order of Police since the city started using police stations as temporary shelters.
