CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A mother and child have been found after Chicago police said they were kidnapped Sunday afternoon on the Northwest Side.
A witness told police a woman and her child were abducted from an apartment near Austin and Northwest Highway shortly after 4:30 p.m.
Police said the woman was screaming as two men or young men had her in a headlock and were shoving her into a SUV.
The department said they were later found safe and without any injuries.
CBS-2 reported neighbors said the woman and her daughter had moved into the building earlier this month.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
