Teen’s mother helped identify him as shooter in gang-related slaying in Austin: prosecutors

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A teenager’s mother helped identify him as the shooter in a fatal gang-related attack last month in Austin, Cook County prosecutors said Sunday.

Joshua Scarver, 18, of Austin, was charged with first-degree murder in the Sept. 16 slaying of 20-year-old Charles Starks.
