(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Evergreen Park Fire Department said one person was hospitalized in a multi-vehicle crash involving a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus Monday morning.
Fire officials said reports came in shortly after 9:45 a.m. about a crash on southbound Kedzie Avenue near 99th Street.
A photo shared with WBBM shows three damaged vehicles in the right lane on Kedzie Avenue, as well as a CTA bus on the curb.
Several people refused medical treatment, officials said.
By 10:30 a.m., police were still directing traffic. A witness said only the left turn lane was open to southbound traffic.
It was unclear what caused the crash. No other details were released at this time.
