(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two suspects have been charged with murder in what authorities say was a drug deal that ended with the death of a Wisconsin man in far north suburban Antioch.

Authorities on Monday night responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment in the 1000 block of Main Street, and inside they found a man who had been fatally shot.

Lake County authorities have identified the victim as Robbie Dickerson of Racine.

Investigators determined that Hailey D. Miller, 24, of Antioch and 28-year-old Johnathan N. Skroko of South Elgin were responsible for the killing, police said.

Dickerson had arrived at the apartment to sell drugs to the pair but instead was robbed and shot by Miller and Skroko, the Lake County Major Crime Task Force said in a news release issued Thursday.

Investigators located the suspects Wednesday at a Gurnee hotel and recovered five firearms, officials said.

Both were charged Thursday with first-degree murder and await an initial court hearing, authorities said.
