CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating an overnight burglary at the longtime Wrigleyville establishment, Murphy’s Bleachers.
CPD confirmed the break-in occurred at the bar on Sheffield and Waveland, saying that the burglary occurred shortly after 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning. The suspect entered the bar by smashing one of the windows and then once inside stole some of the business’s property.
The burglar then fled the scene, police said.
It’s unclear what the suspect took nor the monetary value.
Area Three detectives are assigned to the case.
