(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Despite the Chicago Bears, there's still a winning team in the Chicago area.
The unbeaten and top ranked North Central College Cardinals defeated Susquehanna University 66-0 in the NCAA Division III semifinal on Saturday.
Coach Brad Spencer said the team is focused and ready to advance to their fifth straight title game.
“I really love the momentum that our guys are playing with. I love where their focus is at, and we're seeing the senior class really own they're part of the team, you know, own their piece of the puzzle.”
The championship game is scheduled for Jan. 5 in Houston.
