CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently announced fully vaccinated adults no longer need to wear face masks outdoors and in most indoor settings but there's confusion over what it means for kids.
The Naperville Park District called the face mask guidance “great news” but that also causes problems when it comes to children.
Executive Director Ray McGury told the Naperville Sun vaccinations are only available to those age 12 and older, leaving the park district stuck.
He said parents want kids to be able to play a park district facilities without a mask. But until Gov. J.B. Pritzker issues state guidelines, face coverings will still be required for everyone at park district facilities.
