(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There's been another gun-related arrest outside the Topgolf in Naperville.
Police say an officer was patrolling Topgolf's parking lot on Monday when he saw what appeared to be a gun in a vehicle.
When Leroy Slater of Hazel Crest returned to that vehicle, police said he was arrested for illegally possessing a gun as well as having a drug believed to be Ecstasy.
Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres said one reason there have been so many arrests outside Topgolf is that police have increased patrols there.
“Because of the fact that we have had quite a number of firearms found in the parking lot, there’s going to be a lot of extra police presence that is visible in that lot as well, which generally speaking is a deterrent,” he said.
