CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Although the NASCAR Chicago Street Races have finished, drivers are still dealing with street closures around Grant Park.
As the city prepared for the Grant Park 220, Chicago's first downtown NASCAR street race, several streets in and around the park were closed, including a stretch of DuSable Lake Shore Drive between Navy Pier and McCormick place.
Below is a schedule of the remaining street closures, listed in the order of when street work began:
Ida B Wells Drive, full closure, June 10 through July 13
Ida B. Wells Drive saw a full closure from Michigan Avenue to Columbus Drive starting June 10. It will reopen Thursday, July 13.
Balbo Drive, full closure, June 19 through July 13
Balbo Drive will be fully closed from Michigan Avenue to DuSable Lake Shore Drive beginning at 6 a.m. on June 19. It will reopen on July 13. Officials said Balbo Drive intersections will remain open.
Jackson Drive, full closure, June 25 through July 10
Starting at 1 a.m. on June 25, Jackson Drive will be fully closed between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive. It will reopen on July 10.
Columbus Drive, full closure, June 25 through July 10
Columbus Drive will be fully closed between Jackson and Roosevelt Drives starting June 25. It will reopen on July 10.
Congress Circle, full closure, June 26 through July 6
A full closure will hit Congress Circle from June 26 to July 6. It will take place at the Michigan Avenue, Van Buren Street, Harrison Street entrances to Congress Circle beginning at 6 a.m.
Southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive, full closure, June 28 through July 4
Southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive will be fully closed starting on June 28 between Monroe Drive and McFetridge Road, starting at 8 p.m. It will reopen on July 4.
Jackson Drive, full closure, June 28 through July 10
Between Columbus Drive and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Jackson Drive will be fully closed starting at 8 p.m. on June 28. It will reopen July 10.
Monroe Street, full closure, June 28 through July 3
Monroe Street will be fully closed between Columbus Drive and DuSable Lake Shore Drive starting at 8 p.m. on June 28. It will reopen July 3.
Columbus Drive, full closure, June 28 through July 5
Columbus Drive will be fully closed between Jackson Drive and Monroe Street starting at 8 p.m. on June 28. It will reopen July 5.
Northbound Michigan Avenue, full closure, June 29 through July 5
Between Balbo and Jackson Drives, northbound Michigan Avenue will be fully closed starting at 8 p.m. on June 29. It will reopen July 5.
Roosevelt Road, full closure, June 29 through July 3
Roosevelt Road will be fully closed between Columbus Drive and DuSable Lake Shore Drive starting at 10 p.m. on June 29. It will reopen on July 3.
Southbound Michigan Avenue, full closure, June 30 through July 2
Southbound Michigan Avenue will be fully closed between Balbo and Jackson Drives starting at 5 p.m. on June 30. It will reopen on July 2.
Northbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive, full closure, July 1 – 2
Northbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive will be fully closed between McFetridge Drive and Randolph Street starting at 4 a.m. on July 1. It will reopen on July 2.
