CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There have been reports this week that the White Sox might consider moving to Nashville, but Nashville does not appear to be interested.
Mike Organ is a sportswriter with the Tennessean newspaper in Nashville and tells WBBM there has been no communication between the Sox and Nashville officials and said Nashville has heard talk of getting a baseball team, but not the White Sox.
"People aren't going crazy for it. We've got so much that it's not very talked about," he explained. "There's a little bit of buzz, but it's not what you call a hot topic."
Organ also said Sox fans who live in Nashville say the Sox should stay in Chicago.
"Even the White Sox fans don't want the White Sox to come here. It's still an easy trip up there," he added referring to Chicago. "They don't want them coming down here. They'd rather go to Chicago and keep tradition."
