CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A day after a South Side man appeared in court and released on a personal recognizance bond, prosecutors say he tried to kidnap one woman and assaulted two others.
It was Sunday morning when prosecutors say Quavon Ewing, 32 grabbed one woman - then 15 minutes later tried to shove another one into a van - and 15 minutes after that, urinated into a cup on a CTA platform, then threw the contents of that onto a woman entering a Blue Line station downtown.
Ewing’s lawyer says Ewing has a degree from East-West University, is unemployed and bipolar.
The judge said Ewing’s alleged assaults and attempted kidnapping happened one day after he appeared before the court, where he was given a personal recognizance bond to go register as a sex offender.
Bond was set at half a million dollars for Ewing and at $100,000 dollars on a previous case.
