CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Explore the aquatic animal world through a new immersive, guided tour at Shedd Aquarium.
Shedd Aquarium announced Friday a new guided experience, called the Must See Tour, that explores the aquatic animal world alongside an expert that shares the history of the aquarium, insights about the animals, sparks curiosity, and more!
During the 75-minute tour, guests will experience the Shedd like never before. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the iconic Caribbean Reef exhibit and learn more about the rescued green sea turtle Nickel; sit in the best seats in the house for an Animal Spotlight; and afterward have an exclusive chat with an animal care expert to hear first-hand about what it takes to care for aquatic life at Shedd. Following that, guests will be taken behind-the-scenes at Wild Reef for an in-depth look at the shark habitat.
Shedd Aquarium said the Must See Tour is the perfect way to hit all the highlights in just a little over an hour.
The Must See Tour is part of Shedd Aquarium’s Extraordinary Experiences that are meant to bring guests even closer to the mission of the aquarium and inspire wonder for the aquatic world and a desire to protect it. Shedd also offers other onsite Extraordinary Experiences to come face-to-face with penguins, beluga whales, or sharks during animal encounters.
The Must See tour is available starting March 1. Sessions will happen seven days a week at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with an additional 3 p.m. tour on select days. The tour is 75 minutes and meant for guests ages 7 and up. Guests 7- to 17-years old must be accompanied by a participating adult.
The tour is $75 for adults (12+), $65 for children (7-11), and $40 for members (7+). Admission to the aquarium is included with the purchase of the tour.
