(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A new album dropped from imprisoned Chicago singer R. Kelly on Friday before disappearing, according to published reports.

Variety said the album, called "I Admit, contained previously unreleased music dating back as long as 15 years. The collection appeared on streaming service Friday morning, before being pulled down by the afternoon.

The owner of Kelly's catalog says they didn't release it, and Kelly's attorney says he didn't authorize it. Variety reported the release apparently was bootlegged material.

Kelly, 55, has been convicted of sexual abuse and other charges in two different federal courts.
