(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The kids venue Jermae and Jerry Playspace in Oak Lawn is losing its license because of adult after-hours parties.

The Oak Lawn Village Board voted unanimously to revoke the business license of Jermae and Jerry Playspace, located in a shopping center near West 87th Street and Cicero Avenue.

The venue was slated as the ultimate indoor playground for kids, however police reported finding adults partying at the venue with alcohol and marijuana.

According to court documents, on two occasions, there were no children on site, just bottles of booze and people smoking marijuana. Police report seeing this just before three in the morning in October of 2023, and again before one in the morning in March of 2024.

Although a manager of the Playspace denied the claims, the village board suspended the license for two years.
