CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An investigation is underway into the death of an off-duty police officer.
Aleshia Carter was found unresponsive Sunday in her apartment on 18th and Carpenter in the Pilsen neighborhood around 5:15 p.m. Chicago police said the 33-year old off-duty police officer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office made Carter’s name public.
Police are looking into Officer Carter’s death.
