(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man from Roselle is hoping social media will help him reunite a lost wedding ring with its owner.

A couple of times a month, 60-year-old Marc Jach is at O’Hare for work.

And this week, he was there to have his security badge renewed.

“And as I was walking past the one elevator center, number 5, in Terminal 3 on the lower level. I just looked down and I almost kicked the ring,” he told WBBM Newsradio on Wednesday.

“And I went to pick it up and saw that it wasn’t anything costume jewelry. It was a real wedding ring.”

He says two names are inscribed inside the wedding band.

Jach said he checked some O’Hare-related lost-and-found websites and concluded the ring would stand a better chance of getting back to its owner if he went on social media.

In the back of his mind is something that happened to him 34 years ago.

“I had lost my wedding ring and somebody returned it. So, this is my way of paying it back,” Jach said.
