NAPERVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An early morning fire in Naperville caused significant damage to a home.

The Naperville Fire Department got the call at 12:33 a.m. An attached garage was on fire on the 900 block of Julian Court.

Deputy Chief Phil Giannattasio said firefighters were there in two minutes.
He said they found a large two-story, wood-framed, single-family residential structure with heavy fire showing from the attached garage and rapidly spreading to the home.

They were told there was nobody inside. Primary and secondary searches confirmed that.

Extra equipment was called in and assistance from neighboring fire departments. It took about two hours to get the fire under control.

The fire department estimates the damage to be more than a million dollars. There were no injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
