Passengers evacuate CTA Blue Line in Logan Square as train fills up with smoke

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Passengers had to evacuate from a CTA Blue Line train in Logan Square Saturday afternoon as the train filled up with smoke.

The CTA tweeted that a mechanical issue caused the smoke.

Passengers panicked, ran out of the train, and seemed to be confused as to what exactly was going on, according to videos posted on Twitter.

The CTA said minor delays can be expected, but crews are working on restoring service.
