BOLINGBROOK (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - One person was killed and another seriously injured along I-55 in Bolingbrook Thursday morning in what police say was a hit-and-run.
State police said a car had pulled over onto the right shoulder of Northbound I-55 near Route 53 at about 3:20 a.m.
The driver and passenger were standing close to the right traffic lane.
Both were hit by a semi truck that, police said, "fled the scene."
One was dead at the scene. The second was taken to Good Samaritan hospital in critical condition.
