CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The COVID-19 vaccine rollout is underway, and event promoters hope that means you can start to fill out your concert calendar for the year.

Organizers of the Pitchfork Music Festival hope to try again this year. The festival's director filed paperwork with the Chicago Park District last week to apply for a permit to hold the three-day music festival in Union Park on Sept. 10-12.

The director said he is expecting 200 performers and nearly 19,000 daily attendees. Dates for a 2021 festival or a lineup have not been announced at pitchforkmusicfestival.com.

Last year's Pitchfork Music Festival was moved from July to August, before being cancelled all-together due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Live performances are still on hold due to the pandemic, and it is not known when they can start again.

Dates for Lollapalooza have not been announced, but Riot Fest is scheduled to take place Sept. 17-19 in Douglass Park.
