LOCKPORT (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A collapsed ceiling means some Lockport high school students are learning from home today.

Students at Lockport Township High School Central Campus will take part in e-learning today, one day after they were dismissed from the school. The reason: a third floor ceiling collapsed some time Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Luckily, no students or teachers were inside. Fire officials and others continue to inspect the school, which was built back in 1909 and had some major additions in the 40s and 50s.

Classes will be in-person today  for students at the school’s East Campus.
