The Polar Express train rides at Union Station have been canceled for the second straight year, the ride’s organizer announced on Facebook.

The cancellation was due to extensive city street reconstruction above Union Station, the same reason for last year’s canceled rides, organizers said.

The rides usually leave Union Station and travel around the Loop, South Loop and along the Chicago River, featuring dancing chefs and holiday activities. They will still take place at several locations nationwide, including in Monticello, Illinois.

“We understand this event is an important experience for families and hope to return in the future,” organizers said in the post.
