(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police announced that a person of interest will be questioned regarding an attempted kidnapping in the city's West loop Sunday.
The 45-year-old woman was walking in the 200 block of South Sangamon Street around 8:45 a.m. when the suspect approached her, grabbed both of her arms and attempted to pull into a minivan.
The woman was able to fight off the suspect, who fled in the vehicle. The minivan was later recovered.
Earlier on Tuesday, police released surveillance photos of a suspect they say tried to abduct the woman.
Anyone with information is urged to call Area Three detectives at (312) 744-8261.
