Police seeking public's help in finding Green Line bag snatcher

CHICAGO POLICE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man responsible for a theft on the CTA Green Line.

The theft occurred on August 8 at approximately 11:40 p.m. at 2800 W. Lake St., according to police. The victim, a 27-year-old male, fell asleep while riding the train and woke up when the suspect snatched his bag and fled the station.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30-40 years old. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact detectives at (312) 745-4706.
