(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Antioch police have seized the carnival ride from which a 10-year-old boy was thrown on Sunday’s Taste of Antioch.

Police in Antioch said they executed the search warrant after the Illinois Labor Department finished a follow-up investigation of the Moby Dick ride.

Village officials said the boy, who’s name is Huntley, wasn’t properly secured to his seat.

Chief Geoff Guttschow said their detectives have been working with state inspectors to see if any criminally reckless or negligent acts might have contributed to the accident.

A relative set up a GoFundMe campaign for Huntley after he required surgery for injuries to his face and leg.
