(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Gov. JB Pritzker was part of a group of democratic governors who were on a conference call Wednesday night urging Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to be more aggressive in fighting the agenda of the Trump Administration.

The governors are demanding more push-back from Democrats against executive orders, policies and nominees.

Both Politico and the New York Times are reporting on the call described as “tense,” at times.

Pritzker was reported to have been among the most vocal.

He was also on CNN, where he said this week has been “bizarre and terrible.”

“If you want to add it all up, if you ask me, this is Project 2025. They are trying to put this into effect. The president said he wasn't going to do that when he was running for office,” Pritzker said.

The half-dozen governors on the call said their states are feeling the impact of executive orders and plans to withhold federal funds.

And they want to see more aggressive opposition.
