(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- In 2018, Ravinia Festival and Ravinia Brewing Company signed an agreement to limit the brewery's use of the shared name.
Now, Ravinia Festival is suing the brewery for violating the agreement, which the festival rescinded in August.
The lawsuit alleges that Ravinia Brewing breached the agreement by opening a second Ravinia Brewing in Logan Square, with the same name and by promoting live music at both of its venues, and selling a music-themed beer.
The 11-count lawsuit includes allegations of trademark infringement and consumer fraud, and wants Ravinia Brewing to stop selling beer under the Ravinia brand, among other demands.
