(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A popular southwest suburban restaurant the closed down a couple of years ago has re-opened.
The View Restaurant in Bridgeview closed a couple of years ago during the COVID pandemic and because a heavy snow caused the roof to cave in.
Now, after a complete remodel job has been finished, The View reopened last Thursday.
“It’s been fantastic. Business has been great. Customers have been great. All of our old-timers are coming back,” general manager Ross Barrett told WBBM Newsradio.
Online, long-time customers have been saying how great it is that The View is back.
One big change, though: The restaurant is no longer open 24 hours. Barrett says that’s because business in the area overnight has slowed down, so now The View is open from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The View is located on 89th and Harlem in Bridgeview. It opened in 1997. Barrett says the restaurant is known for its skirt steaks.
