(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police are looking for a suspect who led an officer on a chase in the far western suburbs early Friday.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office says one of its lieutenants tried to pull over a person driving a Ford Escape on Randall Road in St. Charles, for a traffic violation.
The suspect ignored the lights and sirens and kept going. He turned onto Dean Street, where he crashed into a couple of parked cars. The unmarked police car wasn’t able to stop in time and smashed into one of the cars that had been parked.
No one was injured, but the suspect got away on foot and is still being sought, officials say.
