ELK GROVE, IL (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The search continues for the person who shot to death a 14-year old boy in the northwest suburbs this week.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police said Erick Alfaro and another teenager were walking in the Black Hawk Estates mobile home park in Des Plaines Township Wednesday evening when a black SUV pulled up and someone inside began shooting. Alfaro was hit in the head and died.

The Daily Herald said the 14-year old was really into art and had been looking forward to his 8th grade graduation and a trip to Navy Pier. An older brother said the boy had dreams of opening his own clothing line or working in a motorcycle shop. A GoFundMe page to help his family with funeral costs has generated more than $15,000 so far.
