Sitting CTA Loop bus struck in chain reaction crash: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A crash in the Loop Wednesday night sent one person to a hospital and damaged a CTA bus.

It happened at 8:45 p.m. on the 300 block of South State Street, State and Jackson.

Police said the driver of a gray sedan heading South hit a van going in the same direction and then hit a CTA bus head-on.  The bus was stopped at the time.

A passenger in the car, a woman, was injured. Police said she was taken to Northwestern in good condition.

The driver was not injured.

He was issued traffic citations.
