Small plane crashes in NW suburb

ROSELLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two people were not seriously hurt after their small plane crashed into a ditch.

The Village of Roselle said the accident occurred off of Irving Park Road Williams Street. The incident location is near the Schaumburg Regional Airport.

Emergency officials said the two people onboard the plane were evaluated by paramedics and released from the scene.

The village said Irving Park Road, between Rodenburg and Roselle Roads, was expected to remain closed for several more hours.

The DuPage County Sheriff's Department will handle the crash investigation.
