CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Fulton Market clothing store that's already been hit by thieves was broken into again this morning in a crash-and-grab.
Chicago Police said thieves used a Jeep to ram the front door and security gate at SVRN, a clothing store on Washington and Abderdeen, shortly after 3 a.m. Surveillance video showed the Jeep slowly and deliberately crashing into the store while another vehicle dragged away a security barrier from the sidewalk.
The owners said this is the second time they’ve been hit in three weeks. The theft of an estimated $50,000 to $100,00 worth of shoes and clothing came despite owners hiding inventory and putting up security measures.
