(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- State public health investigators say they're looking into reports that a nursing home in Lincolnshire had no medical staff on duty Monday.
The Illinois State Department of Public Health says its caseworkers showed up yesterday morning at Warren Barr Lincolnshire, 150 Jamestown Lane, and found the facility's medical director checking in on patients.
First responders from Lincolnshire came in to help care for the 104 patients at the home, and the facility has reportedly developed a plan for continuing care for the next 24 hours.
“Our first priority was to ensure the care and well-being of all affected residents,” IDPH Director Dr. Sameer Vohra said. “A comprehensive review and investigation is underway.”
